Inflamed colon: The answer is that you have an inflamed colon on the right side. The appendix as u described it is ok on the CT scan, however, if you have symptoms in the same area (right side) then the clinical picture trumps the radiologic study- appendicitis is still part of the differential. Note though, other diagnoses are likelier (Cdifficile, IBD, others)
