12 hours: Aleve is naproxen, so you are talking about the same drug. The dosing interval is 12 hours. If you need something extra for discomfort you can take 2 tylenol (acetaminophen) every 6 hours for the next 2-3 days only. Beyond that, consult your doctor about management.

Naproxen: Aleve and naproxen are the same medication, one brand, one generic name. It is bid or every 12 hours. Wait at least 8 hours between doses. Do not take it without physician input if you have liver, kidney, or bleeding issues. Make sure your blood pressure is under control. Do not take it if you are allergic to aspirin or ibuprofen. It will make your platelets non-functional for 7 -10 days. No ETOH
