Possible interaction: The combination of the two medications can cause something called QT prolongation, which is a change in the electrical transmission in the heart that can cause dangerous arrhythmias. If you have any history of heart rhythm problems or heart attack, I would advise against taking them both together. It would probably be best to get a different antibiotic.

It depends: on the antibiotic that you are taking. But for the most part, beyond the antibiotic, Linezolid, which you shouldn't be on, I wouldn't worry to much. If you would like more specifics, it would help to know the actual antibiotic you are taking.
