I've had post-ssri sexual dysfunction (pssd) from taking citalopram for about two years now. is there any medication available that would enhance dopamine signalling or did i fry my dopamine circuits beyond repair?

Doubtful: How long have you been of the citalopram? Can take upwards 6 mo sometimes to see full effect off the med. At 38 could also be some early ED issues not related to SSRI use. Discuss with your provider ED med trial (if no contraindications). Hope this helps. Best of luck. Dr R

This is a question: for a psychiatrist. Studies indicate that post-cessation of Celexa (citalopram), (citalopram) sexual interest and performance tend to resume, which makes me think you might still be depressed, thus possibly explaining your continued sexual dysfunction despite not taking Celexa (citalopram). You might consider another SSRI? BTW, Celexa (citalopram) targets more Serotonin than Dopamine, so enhancing that may not be the TX for increasing libido.
