Wrong: You can have early or advanced cancer of the cervix and usually your routine labs (CBC, chem profile) will be normal -- until it's too late. Be smart.

Cervical cancer: Blood tests currently do not detect or confirm the presence of cervical cancer. In advanced cases they may show some non-specific abnormalities. Pap and HPV testing are designed for screening and must be followed by biopsies or cone excision to confirm invasive cancer or a precursor.
