Possibly: Magnesium is an important mineral in the body, and it has been noted that we are taking less magnesium than before due to changes in diet. There are not a lot of studies looking at magnesium as a treatment, but what is out there does point to a possibility of it working for stress and anxiety. Taking it can cause loose bowels, and taking too much can cause paralysis or death.
