More workup needed: You need to establish whether this is truly nerve pain vs pain of musculoskeletal origin. If it is nerve pain, locating the source (ie cervical spine, brachial plexus, or peripheral nerve) may allow for some more specific site directed treatments that can both relieve the pain and fix the root of the problem. Nerve meds can help symptomatically and there are a number of them that can be used.
