Tests and follow up: The pregnancy test detects hCG hormone. This can take weeks to completely clear. Depending on the type of test they're checking, trace amounts may show up. Your doc can check a quantitative (number) and recheck in several days to ensure levels are decreasing. Also f/u so they can confirm that there are no residual components of your pregnancy. They will want to check this if you're still bleeding.
