Maybe: If it is only on one half of your body (middle of back to middle of stomach)and has blisters in clusters it may be. If its on both sides it is not. Check it out with your doctor.

Shingles is one side: Because Shingles is due reactivation of the chickenpox virus, which is a relative of the herpes virus, it only appears on one side of the body at a time. If your rash is all around your waist, it is unlikely Shingles. Also, Shingles is less common in younger healthy people, however can occur in younger people who have a compromised immune system. If the burning continues see your doctor.
