Palpitation/Diltiaza: About 1% of patient experience palpitations on diltiazam. Diltiazam is suppose to slow AV conduction.Sometimes there is tachycardia, extrasystole and AV block .It may exacerbate Wolf Parkinson White syndrome and accessory pathway conduction in a fib/flutter. Call you doctor immediately or go to an ER and left them know.
