Child's ast elevated twice (43 and 58). abdominal u/s, other labs and x-ray normal. what is best way to investigate reason further? what other tests?

Liver function tests: Those are very very mild elevations and can even be caused by a transient viral infecton. What were the original symptoms? Perhaps a wait an see approach and repet the bloods in a month.
