Heavy bleeding?: PCO is known to cause irregular bleeding, and although light spotting is usually tolerated, heavy or prolonged bleeding, or both is a sign you should have a licensed OB GYN examine you and perhaps investigate the etiology of the irregular and prolonged vaginal bleeding. Only a thorough exam and a few tests will tell you how serious this could possibly be
