A member asked:

Just had echo done and the echocardiologist said my heart sits low in my chest but did not elaborate, what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not abnormal: The heart's position in the chest is somewhat variable, just as everyone's facial features differ. The heart being low in the chest is neither abnormal nor significant. You deserve a more complete report than that! Ask for the full results. Odds are, since he/she didn't say otherwise, it was a normal result.
