Dull continuous ache under my jaw on the left side (could be gland or lymph node) & up toward my ear. duration of 3 days. should i get it checked out?

Get it checked: The most common cause for lower jaw ache is an abscessed tooth on the same side When an infection progresses in a tooth , two things can happen. One, the infection can drain. Two, the infection can evolve. Lower teeth drain to the lymph nodes and in women to the breast. Infections can also evolve and become cancerous. . Get checked.

Pain under jaw: Pain under or around the jaw can be due to: TMJ (joint issues); dental issues (misalignment, cavity, abscess); if a mass is present, consider: infection, tumor (benign or malignant); severe pain down toward neck can be more serious and requires immediate treatment; referred pain to or from an ear issue is also possible. An MD can help you determine cause. Dr. Rex Ruiz in Centerville is honest MD.
