Possibly: Your baby may benefit from hydroxyurea, depending on what her anemia level is and how her fetal hemoglobin is. Please discuss this with your pediatrician or hematologist. This will not cure the problem, but it may decrease the frequency of transfusions and increase the fetal hemoglobin. Best wishes.
