Dental abcess: this is a normal reaction to an infection. You need to see either a dentist or doctor and be started on antibiotics. If left untreated this can cause a serious infection.

Popped abscess: Is a good thing. It needs to drain completely and please continue antibiotic - or get one! Rinse mouth frequently. Don't eat particulate food yet. Best - liquids only. See dentist

It is good: that your tooth is draining. If you have an abscess, drainage is the proper treatment. You need to see a dentist, so that the tooth can be properly cared for. Do so as soon as possible. Hope this helps!

No danger from pus: But you need to see your dentist with in the next 24-48 hours so that you can get this infection resolved. An unresolved abscess could eventually become a danger to you. In the mean time rinse with warm salt water in order to help keep the area clean. The pus won't hurt you, but delaying treatment will.
