Maybe ovulation: If the pains occur half way between periods, it could be ovulation. Also the sigmoid colon is on the lower left and trapped gas could cause cramps. If the pain is improved by passing gas or moving bowels, it is likely from colon.Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
