You need to be seen: Allyson, if you're still ill today you need to be examined. Until you see someone, drink only clear liquids. Good luck!

IBS: "Stomach pains" bilaterally in "lower abdomen" in a young person, if chronic & occurring both before & after eating, suggests Irritable Bowel Syndrome, IBS; for which there are no confirmatory tests; diagnosis is based strictly on history/physical exam, i.e., what physicians call a "clinical diagnosis". Meds can ameliorate intestinal smooth muscle spasms of autonomic nervous system dysfunction.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is often associated with Joint Hypermobility Syndrome, an inherited connective tissue variation mostly female & benign. My theory: Instability of pelvis sacroiliac joints incites pre-sacral neural plexus thereby stimulating autonomic innervation of intestinal/bladder smooth muscles.

My estimation is that about 15% of women are born w. a genetic variation called "benign Joint Hypermobility Syndrome", JHS. These women are "double jointed" & flexible; have pelvises more easily injured by falls, lifting accidents, MVA's & childbirths. There are varying degrees of JHS penetrance.
