Too slim?: To gain weight one has to to consume more calories than he is burning. Do this in a healthy way though. Don't choose junk food or unhealthy types of fast food. Keep a well balanced diet of natural foods and make sure to get all the needed nutrients. Do exercise several times a week, as it is great for the body, such as weight lifting and abdominal muscle exercises (sit-ups, leg lifts, crunches).

Healthy lifestyle.: Eat lean protein sources such as fish and whey protein isolates, keep up with cardiovascular exercise to keep your body fat in check as you gain weight, and weight train to make sure you're gaining muscle and not fat. Sleep 6-9 hours nightly. Focus on complex carbohydrates and fiber (35 grams daily) and drink plenty of water so the urine seems almost clear.
