Yes: Many people with mood disorders respond to mood stabilizers such as Tegretol or Depakote which require some blood monitoring but not as much as lithium. (Depakote is not a good medication for women, however as it can trigger hormonal problems) physician should be able to determine the best medication for you and should be consulted for an answer relevant to your individual situation.

Yes: There are several mood stabilizers of the atypical antipsychotic group of medications and anticonvulsants that can work without as frequent bloodwork. Please check with your physician about changing therapy, if you would like.

Lamictal: for bipolar manic this is a good one. It requires slow titration however. Most of the atypical antipsychotic meds do not require blood monitoring although with the other meds you take I would favor use of an anticonvulsant (you are taking three meds that lower the seizure threshold already (withdrawal between doses of Ativan (lorazepam) )

Provider check: there are different alternatives like depakote, lactimal, etc but each one has own set of side effects and specific instances for which one works for which person Talk to you mental health provider and determine which one would help you They need to know your symptoms and your other medications in order to provide the best care

Yes: Mood stabilizers are the Standard of care for Bipolar Mood Disorder. Other than Lithium you will find Tegretol; Lamictal; and neuroleptics such as; Seroquell, Latuda, (lurasidone) and Abilify.
