Unlikely cancer: Common cause of thickened bladder are infection acute or chronic.Voiding dysfunction, ie non relaxation of urinary sphincter when urinating. Overactive bladder. Trabeculation, which is overdevelopment of bladder muscle fibers due 2 bladder outflow obstruction or straining to urinate. Neurogenic bladder. Chronic constipation.Apparent thickening of bladder which is under-filled at time of ultrasound
