EF 44%.: I assume you mean EF ( Ejection Fraction ) is 44%. The EF is a measure of how much blood was in the main pump of the heart at the beginning of contraction as compared to the end of contraction. This is not the same as function at all. Having said that >55% is "normal." 13% of people age 50-70 have EF
