I'm 50. Still have periods, although less regularly. FSH in meno range but EST high. When I say to my gyn that I'm in peri, she keeps saying, "but your fsh is in meno range." Why would she be so hung up on this and not admit that I'm in peri? Odd?

Dr order FSH, if meno range ordering D&C because still have periods. Had biopsy & SIS, b/c of high FSH last yr, both neg. Last U/S lining 1.9 after period. Periods are irregular but normal when I get them. No issues. Is this procedure necessary?
My mom is in menopause She is 54 and she did blood test and her FSH level is 50.50 LH level is 37.20 But she still get period but irregularly Her period started getting irregular 2 years ago and since that time she got period 2 or 3 times
