Several possibilitie: Unless someone, a doctor, told you that you have ALS, I don't think that is the first thing to come to mind. Electrolyte abnormalities (K, Ca, Mg) should be checked, along with thyroid function. Certain medications and illicit drugs can be a major factor. I suggest you consult with your family doctor.
