Nerve Impingement: In an otherwise healthy person, a brief, self-limited and positionally-related tearing pain across your chest is likely due to intercostal muscle spasm or nerve impingement. If you have any history of heart issues, or pain is referred to left arm or jaw, or is accompanied by shortness of breath or light headedness, other considerations should be promptly investigated.

Multiple causes: Chest pain can be a symptom of heart disease but may be may other things such as esophageal spasms, great vessel disease, respiratory disorders (asthma, COPD, bronchitis, infections), and muscle problems to name a few. 10 seconds of symptoms makes it sound more like a muscle issue but It really depends on the clinical situation and other symptoms you may be having.
