Tongue treatment: Warm salt water rinse (1/4 teaspoon in a glass of warm water) Hold it next to the area injured, then spit. Can also use Hydrogen peroxide and rinse with a capful then spit. There is a product called Zilactin available at pharmacy and applied with the finger to the sore spot. Have your dentist adjust the sharp teeth. the Antihistamines can make the mouth drier and more vulnerable to this

Give it some time: Bites of the tongue are the most common mouth injury. Give it some time and take an OTC NSAID or Tylenol (acetaminophen) for for pain or discomfort. The good news is the mouth has many blood vessels, which promotes quick healing. Take care.
