Can a full blood count detect cancer?

No: I assume you are referring to CBC(complete blood count). This test only measures things like the number of cells in blood and level of hemoglobin but nothing about cancer.Indirectly some abnormalities may show such as the white cells being high if leukemia or hemoglobin low if colon cancer bleeding slowly. If you are referring to using this test as early screening for cancer, the answer is "no".

No: There is no test that can universally detect cancer. Abnomral blood counts may be a sign of cancer but can be caused by other things. In additon normal blood counts dose not rule out cancer.
