A member asked:

How are cancer cells or tumors or anything causing other symptoms detected ? blood test ? i had a panel and cbc and full blood ? stool urine ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cancer: There are no blood tests that rule in or out all cancers with certainty. Your physician would order specific tests such as xrays, scans, mri, endoscopy depending on your symptoms or physical examination findings or certain screening of urine, stool, sputum, etc. Tissue biopsies are then done to confirm a diagnosis of cancer. For example, blood in stool or urine leads to scoping; skin lesion biopsied
