Okay.: It is fine to use ENO after eating once in a while, although it will reduce the natural acidity of the stomach (designed to kill microorganisms and digest food). Use spicy foods in moderation, avoid tobacco, alcohol, and caffeine, and you would not have to alkalinize your stomach with ENO daily.

No: The box says you can take it twice daily but each dose contains 5 G of sodium citrate which is 850 mg of salt so the intake of salt is huge, about 25% of the recommended daily intake. Zantac (ranitidine) or Ranitidine sound safer.
