More important: than individual baseline body temperature is the rise in body temperature after ovulation. This rise should be at least 0.2 degrees Fahrenheit up to 0.4 degree F, and, very important, the temperature should stay up at that level for the next two weeks to indicate ovulation with sufficiently high progesterone hormone levels needed for a fertile cycle.
