What does skin look like when impetigo is healing?

Impetigo: You may see a brownish discoloration of the skin, which may be a little elevated in the beginning (papule) and gradually fades away leaving a darker spot which also gets lighter eventually.

Impetigo healing: You can usually tell that impetigo is responding to treatment by the following observations: decreased size of sore, resolution of crusting, lessening of redness, sores healing over and appearing more dry and gradual return of normal skin coloration.
