You need support: It's normal to be really sad right now. Seek support. A therapist can help you sort out the many intense feelings that you are having. A grief support group can help. The sadness you are feeling is complicated. While it's healthy to have some time alone to process your feelings, you should not do it all alone. Do you want to go to the memorial? Reach out to people around you. Best wishes to you.

Remembering: Grieving takes time and anniversary reactions happen to many. I am sorry you cannot go to the memorial. Could a relative help you buy the plane ticket ? You can memorialize your relationship with your sister by doing something you used to do together or going a place you used to go together. Memorializing with someone else who lives near you will help. Do you have a close friend who will listen?

Heart: If you can't be there in person, remember her in your heart. Write her a special note or poem. This must be very tough for you. I am so sorry. Don't hesitate to obtain counseling or help. Stay close to your friends and family.

Communicate: Perhaps you can write something that someone at the memorial could read on your behalf. It may be best, among other things you may want to say, to include what you personally learned from this tragedy.
