We cycle through: four phases of sleep. When you cycle back up to level one (the lightest) you may come out of sleep, thus your overall level of sleep is not deep enough. It may be due to stress or a medical condition. Your doc can order a sleep study and that can be followed up w/help from a clinical psychologist who works with sleep disorders.
