A member asked:

I am 7 weeks pregnant. haemoglobin level 152g/l. is it high for pregnancy? platelets and mcv all normal. serum folate 25.2 on folic acid, also high.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably normal: Your hemoglobin of 15.2 is fine for being 7 weeks pregnant. The numbers will decrease moreso in the 2nd and third trimesters. You should be on a multivit (prenatal) which has folic acid in it. Folic acid is very important in pregnancy. Hope all is well otherwise. Good luck with your pregnancy!
