Are you able to address thyroid problems with diet? i have gained some weight with no diet change and have been following an anti inflammatory diet

Weight gain: Have you in fact been diagnosed with hypothyroidism? You have not given any relevant medical history or medications that suggests a confirmed diagnosis. Weight gain in a 51 yo female may be due to many causes and should have a medical evaluation including serology for hormonal irregularities. You can only address treatment when there is a diagnosis. Please consult your physician.

Only dietary: thyroid problems can be well-treated with dietary means. (iodine is in foods from the sea). Otherwise medication is going to be required.
