Wondering: It does not appear to be a problem to add cymbalta with the Paxil (paroxetine), (paroxetine) but in many cases it's best to taper off Paxil (paroxetine) slowly to prevent "withdrawal" effects. Also some people experience uncomfortable effects with cymbalta. Best to let your prescriber know about your symptoms so that an adjustment can be made.

Taper Paxil (paroxetine): Normally, I tapper the old medicine at the same time as I start a lower dose of the new medicine. What you may be feeling is the sudden discontinuation of the Paxil, (paroxetine) which is one of the medicines that causes the most side effects if discontinued suddenly.
