Cymbalta (duloxetine) effects: Side effects of Cymbalta (duloxetine) include naso-pharyngitis pharyngo-laryngeal pain and upper respiratory tract infection which explains burning throat. Please see your psychiatrist to discuss side effects of cymbalta, (duloxetine) and dosage needed for treatment of depression.

Switch to AM: Cymbalta (duloxetine) can cause hyper acidity in your stomach, so you can get burning when you lay down. If that happens then it is recommended to switch it to a morning dose. Simply notify your prescribing physician about what has happened. Ask if any further G.I. Workup to rule out gastroesophageal reflux disease may be necessary for you.
