WAY oversimplifying: Weight gain with antipsychotics is poorly understood but probably has nothing to do with dopamine. May be 1 or more other receptor types, including histaminic H1, serotonin 2A & 2C, muscarinic M(3), & adrenergic receptors. (Quiz later.) Receptor neurochemistry is INCREDIBLY complex & subtle & messing around out of ignorance with stuff like mucuna after stopping antipsychotics could be risky.
