Weight training: I am not a fan of protein supplements as they potentially have side effects including kidney and liver damage. Eat a diet slightly higher in protein, such as chicken, fish, lean meats and legumes. Follow a safe weight training program with gradual increase in weight and proper technique. Be sure to drink at least 6-8 glasses of water daily to stay well hydrated.

Poultry.: Seriously. Although rather cheap whey protein has been shown to work, better quality protein that is low in fat is going to be better. Also: 1) Find your maximal weight you can lift without injury (1RM) 2) use about 80-90% of that for > 6 reps and if you can do > 12 at a time, increase the weight ! 3) wait LESS than 30 seconds, repeat at 60-70% of that number 4) wait and do 40-60% of that number.
