A member asked:

I was in a car accident and now my heart rate will not go below 100 this happend at 5:30 it's now 9:19 is that normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: Car accidents are very upsetting and being upset is a cause of rapid heart beat. IF your HR is around 100, it's likely a normal reaction to stress. IF it's >150, it's likely not and should be evaluated. Between 100-150, it's impossible to know without looking at your EKG.
