Esophagitis: Your emesis contained stomach acid: hydrochloric acid, which has likely irritated (or even burned) the lining of your esophagus. It will heal, but it will take time. Meanwhile, it wouldn't be a bad idea to used medication to counteract stomach acid like over the counter ranitidine or omeprazole. Unfortunately, I'm afraid it's like closing the barn door after the horse is out.
