Depends: Which version are you taking? If you are taking the chewable, then you chew it. If you are taking the extended-release tablets you swallow them whole with a full glass of water (8 oz). Follow the directions on the package or talk to your pharmacist if you are still unsure.

Becoactin: I you are taking chewable tablets, chew the tablet thoroughly before swallowing. If you are taking extended-release capsules, swallow them whole.
