Disolve first: Dispersible tablets need to be taken as instructed on the drug label. If that means dissolution in water, then you must do so. Effervescent tablets give off gas which needs to be let off before consumption otherwise the pressure will build up in your stomach and intestines (painful).

You can: Dispersible tablets are normally prescribed to people who can't swallow solid form tablets., but you can swallow them directly if you want.
