So far so good: But, the risks are very serious if anything were to change and things do change over time. He's been lucky and may continue to be. But bodies change as we age - it's the heart function I'd worry about since both can depress heart rate. In 'extremely' moderate drinking (1 drink), w/ a strong heart and continued luck - he may be fine. But no one would recommend it. Take care.
