No: Spironolactone blocks androgen effect by blocking Androgen receptors but it does not lower Androgen level. It is commonly used to relief symptoms of Androgen excess like hirsutism ( excessive body & facial hair). Be careful it is teratogenic ( may cause birth defects) and should be used with a reliable method of contraception.
