A member asked:

Should i take erythromycin tablets and lotion or differen for bad acne?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See a dermatologist: Differin (adapalene) or tretinoin will help you. Only about 10% of women your age respond to erythromycin, an antibiotic, which sometimes is difficult to take. Spironolactone is your best bet, with or without certain birth control pills. Some birth control hormones make acne worse because of androgenic (male hormone) effects. If you have severe nodular, cystic acne, isotretinoin will rescue you.
