Fracture or tear: You may have a fracture or tear. The patella can fracture. A tear of supporting ligaments can tear. You will need to rest it. It has been four days so an X-ray should tell if fracture although MRI may have a role too. If you rest long term?

I have had xrays on my left knee to see what is wrong with it due to it being swollen and hurting back in July. I was diagnosed with have patella in both knees. After physical therapy, my swelling went down - but now its back when I am moving a lot. It doesnt hurt but there is a lot of fluid on the knee and it seems to go away when I work out. But swells when Im doing daily activities: walking, etc. wondering if I need to go back to the doctor or continue PT exercises Swollen Left Knee?
