Need Immediate Care: If you are too short of breath to use an inhaler medication and do not have a home nebulizer machine you need immediate medical attention in urgent care or emergency room. When this episode is over and you are feeling better, ask your doctor about having an asthma action plan- written instructions to use when you are having breathing problems. This included use of a peak flow meter, different meds.
