Not so good.: It depends on the type, size and reason for the skin graft, but regardless, let your surgeon know what you are up to. They have the information necessary to make the best decision. The changes in pressure associated with plane flights, not to mention being in a crowd, increase the risk of your skin grafting. Bad compliance can ruin good surgery.

It shouldn't be: a problem, but let your surgeon know. He or she may have some instructions for you in terms of how to care for the skin graft during travel. Hope this helps!

Only if you have to: As long as the grafts are well-covered with dressings, you should be okay. However, it will be very important to avoid any trauma to your face that could dislodge the grafts. Also, avoid straining, heavy lifting, or any activity that would cause increased blood flow to the face which could increase the chance of bleeding under the grafts. Bleeding under the grafts could cause them to fail.
