See a periodontist: Pain in the gums suggest the presence of some pathogenic infection, perhaps periodontal disease, a gram negative anaerobic rod bacterial infection. Get checked by a periodontist.

Diagnosis: Pain is a signal that something's wrong. Seeing root contour through the gum tissue indicates teeth may be positioned too far forward. You have to be seen to be diagnosed so that the best treatment can be administered. Make an appointment with your Dentist. Perhaps he/she will want to refer you to a Periodontist or an Orthodontist for further consultation.
